Time to write about non profits that we love! Woohoo! Guess what most of mine will be about? {Read what my friends wrote about at Holley’s linkup.} There are too many to list but leave me your favorite in the comments if you think it needs mentioning!
Not a non profit, but a pretty cool ministry…Give1Save1. We blog about adoption, family, art, and whatever else strikes our fancy. Families can be on the blog and fundraise for a week to help fund their adoptions. We have Africa, Asia (<<<<-I blog there), Europe, US and Caribbean pages.
Next up is Reece’s Rainbow. An adoption advocacy site. Waiting children are featured, prayed for, and are able to have grants funded for their families. Awesomeness.
Another favorite is International Justice Mission. They are a human rights agency that rescues victims of slavery, exploitation and abuse. It’s a big deal.
Social justice is HUGE to me! To see people struggling, taken advantage of, hungry, hurt and to do nothing is not okay. Jesus healed, touched the unclean, ate with the poor, spent time with the least of these. It’s about redemption.
He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.
